My House 01/27/2011

Here's another popular re-run from my old blog, as I'm still in artistic limbo. Severe painter's block for the past several months. I blame it on the holidays. Oh well, here it is:

Krista, I sure hope it doesn't last much longer. Have you tried just playing? Take a look ,a href="http://alifeunrehearsed2.blogspot.com/">here and see if you could do something like this for notecards or backgrounds or simply to have fun. Or how about a purpose to do something like this site here . I hope you find something somewhere that speaks to you so you can find joy in your painting again.

Thanks for the support, Timaree. Those are some pretty cool websites. You're right - I just need to play around and then I'm sure the creative juices will flow again.

Lovely house (and painting, Krista). I see the charm that drew you to it. Love the holiday decorations in the painting, too.

Krista, it's a lovely house! We used to live above a train track, and I came to love them (and didn't hear them anymore, either). I know about those high and dry spells with art. I hope it passes quickly for you. It's most disturbing to me when they happen. One of the things that has helped me in the past is to make zentangles. For me it's mindless, soothing and stress-free. At least it gets me doing something again. Take care. nancy
